It's Libraries Week!

It's libraries week this week and we have some activities planned. These will mainly be shared through our social media channels, so don't forget to follow us on Twitter and find us on Facebook by clicking on the icons at the bottom of the page.

This year is all about the promotion of reading, and to kick off the week we have an online campaign called #ExpressYourShelf

To take part, take a picture of your bookshelf or bookstack featuring books that have shaped your world, and post on social media using the hashtag above.

If you'd like to share on our social media, the books that you have found influential, please do! Doesn't have to be a stack, it can just be one book! We are hoping to use this week to share our experiences of reading, of books that have made an impression on us and how important books and reading are (and of how important libraries are of course!)

We also have a virtual book club and competitions planned, so keep an eye out for separate posts on here and social media about the details...

Happy reading!
