This page is designed to provide a selection to Library and Knowledge Service users of what medical applications are available FREE to them with a small description to explain the application.
All applications are available to download onto your devices from either Google Play or itunes stores.
The NICE British National Formulary (BNF) and The NICE British National Formulary for Children (BNFC) apps provide easy access to the latest up-to-date prescribing information from the most widely-used medicines information resources within the NHS.
•Information and advice on the drug management of common conditions
•Details of medicines prescribed within the UK with reference to their uses, cautions, contra-indications, side-effects, doses and relative costs
•Advice on prescribing, monitoring, dispensing and administering medicines

•Once downloaded and activated, the apps do not rely on a network connection and will provide direct offline access to the latest version of the BNF and BNFC.

The NICE guidance app gives you offline access to all of NICE's guidance products, organised by clinical or public health topic, the app allows you to search, browse and explore all of NICE's current guidance within one handy app.

Accessing the DynaMed App

To use the app you will need to access DynaMed from a Trust computer click on the Mobile button and input your email address to get an authentication key.

Accessing the App
First, create your own account.
Log in to ClinicalKey using your OpenAthens username and password. All new users then need to “Activate” their account by clicking on the Trust name in the top right of the screen. Click on 'Activate' and complete the registration.
Download the app from the Apple or Google Play store. Once downloaded, open the app. If prompted select your region as Global. Scroll down to the OpenAthens login. Enter your details. You should now be connected.
