Plant Guide
Succulent
Succulent are a plant type- not a single species
Succulents originate in hot dry countries and retain water in their fleshy leaves. There are thousands of different types, in all shapes and sizes but are generally quite small, so great for small spaces.
Water when the soil is completely dry. They're used to hot dry conditions! Avoid the leaves when watering and make sure the water is fully drained before putting back in the ceramic pot. Adding gravel for drainage really helps! Feed once a month in spring/summer with special succulent/cacti food.
They prefer somewhere sunny, like a kitchen windowsill, but not so much sun that they scorch. Rotate occasionally so each side gets some light. They don't like draughts or anywhere too chilly.
